Bethesda Repatriate Fallout 76 Theft Victims Through Clone Meetups

Fallout 76: the gift that keeps on giving. Theft victim and Reddit user “JedediahJedi” shared his email from Bethesda, where they explained the situation. Other Reddit users say they’ve also been contacted. “A clone of your character (with a modified name) will be restored on January 22, 2020,” Bethesda said. “Once restored, this character will have the entire inventory of items, gear and scrap (100% of your stuff) that it possessed on December 20, 2019....

Blaseball May Return Next Week

If that was word soup to you, don’t panic. Blaseball is a text-based browser MMO thing where folks bet fake money on the outcome of matches between teams playing games of a sport with a striking similarity to baseball. Except there are things like Grand Unslams and rampant peanut allergies and other odd occurrences that throw a wrench in the proceedings. From the outside, it appears that about 30% of Blaseball involves interacting with the website and the other 70% is making lots and lots of fan art....

Bleeding Edge Review

All the charm in the world couldn’t stop the combat being pants. Let’s linger a little longer on the fighters, rather than the fighting. I want you to get properly introduced to these characters, before I tell you how they’ve been squandered. And when I say the characters, I really mean the character designs. Because while there are snippets of lore tucked away in their bios, all you really need to know about these people is that they’re cyborgs who like beating each other up in a fight club for transhuman misfits....

Blizzard Pull All Their Games From Geforce Now

GeForce Now is Nvidia’s new entry in the still experimental “cloud gaming” scene. It allows players to access and play games they own using Nvidia’s own remote hardware, and streaming the results back over their internet connection. This bypasses the need for a fancy computer of your own, although obviously a good connection is necessary. You also don’t need to pay beyond the subscription cost (currently £60 per year) and can play any game you own, but only if Geforce Now supports it....

Boris Johnson S Resignation Is Already In A Duke Nukem 3D Level

Douglas here is combining Johnson’s resignation speech with the time he got stuck on a zipline as mayor of London during the 2012 Olympics. The skip is just wishful thinking. Before Johnson’s announcement, he had already added the Sky News ticker keeping track of the many, many government resignations that eventually forced Johnson’s hand. People treating Boris Johnson as a wacky buffoon rather than a calculating politician committed to gutting Britain for the sake of his rich pals is part of why he’s managed to do such harm, but I’m cool with it here....

Butterfly Soup Makes An Excellent Case For Why Representation Matters

By that I do not mean it is a game that provides good representation; the diverse cast of characters that make up the story have roots all over Asia, and the narrative constantly draws attention to various aspects of Asian-American life, from the differences between “normal passing” and “Asian passing” in tests at school, to language troubles between people who, although lumped together as “Asian” come from vastly different backgrounds....

Call Of The Sea Announced

Oh hey that voice is Cissy Jones, who was Delilah in Firewatch. That game does seem a likely influence in the sphere of walk-o-stories. The blurb introduces this one: He’s turned into a fishman, right? Or I get to turn into a fishman? Or marry the sea? If the game dares suggest that becoming sealife is not a dream come true, I’ll be livid. I cannot tell you how much I miss swimming....

Cathartic Office Beat Em Up Say No More Is Out Now

I think everything about Say No! More looks like great, silly fun. It’s got bright colors and chunky low-poly characters that remind me of Katamari Damacy. It’s got a similar, ridiculous energy to it too, what with just deciding to shout “no!” at folks and blast them around the office. I’m particularly tickled by the co-workers who spray a cloud of printed papers all over the place when they’re thrown back by the force of your words....

Chivalry 2 Is Out Now With More Multiplayer Melee Murder

Ed called Chivalry 2 “a fun time” when he played a preview version earlier this year. “It’s like the first one, but facilitates the silliness better with shiny graphics, and more moves, and maps, and emotes,” he said. Do be warned that the game has login problems on launch day. The devs say they’re investigating. I’m curious how this stacks up against Mordhau, 2019’s claimant to the skull throne. “I’m in love with Mordhau,” Matt Cox declared in our Mordhau review....

Chivalry 2 Review

It’s very straightforward. You’re a medieval soldier and you’re desperate to chop limbs off. Battles take place in three flavours: 64-player, 40-player, or a “free-for-all” mode (used to best effect in servers running duelling matches with their own etiquette). Team battles often see an attacking side storming across large maps to complete objectives, while defenders try to stop them. For example, one foggy map has the attackers pushing a caravan toward a distant castle....

As it’s a Starship Troopers game, you’ll get dropped onto a bug-riddled alien world to blast away at hundreds of the giant creepy-crawlies. This time it’s a planet called Valaka, home to bases and refineries that you’ll need to retake from the enemy, along with hives to blow to pieces....

Colonel Croesus Turn 12

(Colonel Croesus is an open-to-all game of Combat Mission: Fortress Italy in which Allied forces are orchestrated by commenters while German units are computer controlled. Each daily turn covers one minute of WeGo action. For a scenario outline and accounts of earlier turns, click here). The time for pussyfooting is over. Pussyfinding and pillbox and U-boat neutering are the priorities for the impressively well-coordinated Comment Commanders this turn. When the clock restarts Crabmeat 1 in the north and Crabmeat 2 in the south scuttle westward, keen to eliminate static infantry threats and discover the whereabouts of Steiner’s heavy-duty staff car....

Control S New Awe Dlc Doesn T Have Much Alan Wake But It Has A Great Monster

AWE is a decent chunk of DLC that adds what you’d expect: about four hours of wellying fire extinguishers down hallways, a new enemy type and a new section of the Bureau’s offices to explore. By the end, you get the nagging feeling that you’ve just played through the video game equivalent of a Marvel film’s post-credits sequence - this is, after all, a step in establishing the “Remedy Connected Universe” that started with Alan Wake’s splash onto the Xbox 360 ten years ago....

Cook Serve Delicious 3 Releasing In Early Access Today

“A relentless and strategic kitchen management game, Cook, Serve, Delicious! 3?! rewards hard effort with moments of transcendental clarity, when plates start flowing and everything is slotting into place,” said Steve in his Cook, Serve, Delicious! 3?! review (that was published this very morning). “It is meditation. Cyberpunk 2077 S Female V Has A New Look

CD Projekt revealed the art on Twitter yesterday: They confirmed in a follow-up reply that yes, the game will have reversible box art with this V. It’s an interesting direction for V’s official look (you can see her old style in detail in this cosplay guide). The old one had a bold smoky eye with dark blue liner, while new V has a far lighter look. Her hair’s gone from dark red to a faded pink....

Cyberpunk 2077 Still Planning Free Dlcs

Cyberpunk 2077 has been in development for a heck of a while and things have understandably changed a bit in that time. Wallrunning got the boot, as did two potential release dates. Lady V got a new default look as well. One thing that apparently hasn’t changed is CDPR’s commitment to offering free goodies just as they did in their last mega RPG. Cyberpunk replied to a fan recently to re-confirm that “ohhh yeahh!...

Dark Souls Remastered S Pvp Servers Are Back Online

There’s been a weird to-ing and fro-ing since then, with PvP servers for some Dark Souls games being brought back online again only to be withdrawn not long afterwards. Dark Souls 3’s servers went back up in August, but fell again a month later. Makes you wonder if it’s some kind of weird meta reference to the series’ attitude to death and rebirth. FromSoft managed to restore Dark Souls 2: Scholars Of The First Sin’s servers just last month, and they’re still alive and kicking for now....

Dead By Daylight Devs Unveil Post Apocalyptic Pvp Game Meet Your Maker

Meet Your Maker sees players building and defending their own fortresses complete with mazes, guards, and traps, while other players try and raid said fortress. To win as a raider, you need to reach the centre of the build, grab a glowing orb, and make it out alive. Winning as a builder entails designing a tower that no one can successfully survive. The story gubbins is that you’re a “Custodian of the Chimera,” a living experiment created as a last resport to save Earth - whatever that means....

Desperados 3 Now Has A Free Tabletop Rpg

The Desperados RPG is about, y’know, wild west stuff. Like the game, it’s basically straight but does splash in a touch of magic. I couldn’t for the life of me tell you which RPG system it uses but it looks pretty simple. You’ll need to print character sheets, counters, and a few scenery bits, then scavenge a few six-sided dice from any game. Here’s Becca Scott to explain: Head on over to DriveThruRPG to download the Desperados RPG....
