GeForce Now is Nvidia’s new entry in the still experimental “cloud gaming” scene. It allows players to access and play games they own using Nvidia’s own remote hardware, and streaming the results back over their internet connection. This bypasses the need for a fancy computer of your own, although obviously a good connection is necessary. You also don’t need to pay beyond the subscription cost (currently £60 per year) and can play any game you own, but only if Geforce Now supports it....

I think everything about Say No! More looks like great, silly fun. It’s got bright colors and chunky low-poly characters that remind me of Katamari Damacy. It’s got a similar, ridiculous energy to it too, what with just deciding to shout “no!” at folks and blast them around the office. I’m particularly tickled by the co-workers who spray a cloud of printed papers all over the place when they’re thrown back by the force of your words....

It’s very straightforward. You’re a medieval soldier and you’re desperate to chop limbs off. Battles take place in three flavours: 64-player, 40-player, or a “free-for-all” mode (used to best effect in servers running duelling matches with their own etiquette). There’s been a weird to-ing and fro-ing since then, with PvP servers for some Dark Souls games being brought back online again only to be withdrawn not long afterwards. Dark Souls 3’s servers went back up in August, but fell again a month later. Makes you wonder if it’s some kind of weird meta reference to the series’ attitude to death and rebirth. FromSoft managed to restore Dark Souls 2: Scholars Of The First Sin’s servers just last month, and they’re still alive and kicking for now....

Meet Your Maker sees players building and defending their own fortresses complete with mazes, guards, and traps, while other players try and raid said fortress. To win as a raider, you need to reach the centre of the build, grab a glowing orb, and make it out alive. Winning as a builder entails designing a tower that no one can successfully survive. The story gubbins is that you’re a “Custodian of the Chimera,” a living experiment created as a last resport to save Earth - whatever that means....

The Desperados RPG is about, y’know, wild west stuff. Like the game, it’s basically straight but does splash in a touch of magic. I couldn’t for the life of me tell you which RPG system it uses but it looks pretty simple. You’ll need to print character sheets, counters, and a few scenery bits, then scavenge a few six-sided dice from any game.
