Open Transport Tycoon Deluxe One Of The Wonders Of Pc Gaming Is Coming To Steam

One of OpenTTD’s developers, TrueBrain, posted the news on the game’s official site, explaining that the decision was taken in part because “other people post OpenTTD on some stores.” The game is always free so there’s no revenue to lose, but they can’t guarantee that those versions are updated or unmodified - and so they’re going to bring it to new stores themselves. It’s already available via the Microsoft store now, and you can wishlist it on Steam until it’s released there....

Overwatch 2 S Closed Beta Starts April 26Th

The beta’s focused on Overwatch 2’s 5v5 style of gameplay, the inclusion of a new hero called Sojourn, a new mode called Push, and a brand-new ping system (presumably to give info to your team, like in CSGO or Rainbow Six Siege). There are hero reworks mentioned for Orisa, Doomfist, Bastion and Sombra too. The beta also features several Overwatch 1 maps, as well as four new maps to try out....

Overwatch S 2020 Summer Games Kick Off Today

Running from today through August 25th, Overwatch’s 2020 Summer Games also see Lucioball’s return to Overwatch. This year, Blizzard’s rollerskating Rocket League has been gifted two new arenas and a helluva lotta balls. Besides taking to reworked pitches in Sydney and Busan, Lucioball has seen a few tweaks to speed things up. Stronger boops, faster movement, higher jumps, that sorta thing. But if that’s not wild enough for you, Lucioball Remix adds a wackier alternative that tosses two balls into the field, spawning bonus balls periodically....

Paradox S Next Grand Strategy Simulation Will Launch In October

Here’s the trailer: And here’s the answer: they’ll put complaints about DLC and bugs in the comments. Plus ça change. If you don’t know, Victoria is another of Paradox’s grand strategy games, this time focused on simulating the social and economic machinery of the Victorians. There’s war, sure, but you’ll generally spend less time on the battlefield than in Europa Universalis, and more time pulling economic levers and twirling diplomatic knobs....

Park Beyond S Tools Make It Easy To Craft Hilariously Dangerous Rollercoasters

After some hands on with an early build of Park Beyond, I have a little more faith that Limbic Entertainment are going to be able to pull it off. The toolset for building a rollercoast is, in particular, impressive. It’s never been so easy to make a ride that breaks both the laws of physics and the laws of health and saftey. The coasters in this game are an absolute menace....

Persona 5 Needs To Come To Pc

But as the prospect of fist-bumping my boy Ryuji and pruning some flowers with Haru draws near, something deep within me crashes to the surface once again. Persona 5 for PC! Where are you, huh? WHERE ARE Y- Sorry for that outburst. I listened to Beneath the Mask -rain- from Persona 5’s excellent soundtrack, and that helped soothe me. But seriously, a Persona 5 PC port seems like a necessary companion to Strikers....

Please Use This Receiver 2 Cheat To Make The Game Way Better

That’s great, but also a bit irrelevant, as I have discovered there’s a cheat you can use to instantly give yourself another rank. You should. You deserve it. The problem isn’t that the game is too hard, it’s that it’s too much of a slog. You need to find five tiny cassette tapes to progress, and you also lose a rank each time you die. That means you run up against the same old turrets over and over again, and wind up feeling… sort of comfortable....

Podcast Episode 110 The If You Could Have One Superpower Special

Our diversions this week are less likely to involve the term “bumeggs”, but we do spend ages talking about whether or not a character in Resident Evil 7 has a beehive for a bum or not. Also, it turns out that we mostly want special abilities that facilitate the acquisition and consumption of food. We did record this around lunchtime, in fairness. To make things more confusing, the Cavern Of Lies this week is superhero themed, specifically around 2002 strategy game Freedom Force....

Pretty Perspective Based Puzzler Maquette Is Out Now

Like in Superliminal, Maquette will play with your perspective, causing some objects to getting bigger or smaller depending on what you do with them. Unlike Superliminal, however, Maquette’s items won’t suddenly scale up when you move them closer or further from you. The game is set in a model within a model (within many more models, from the looks of the trailer), and dropping things into a smaller version a model will cause it to arrive on a much larger scale in the one you’re in....

Priceless Play 04 January 2020

Here are some free games to play in the early moments of this new decade about endurance. To Kindle Color from Dana Holdampf I spent some time in Iceland during the summer of 2018. The country is right smack dab in between North America and Europe, and so the Icelandic tourism board capitalised on this geographic advantage in their “free layover” scheme starting around 2010. Suffice to say, I know a lot of folks who have been to Iceland in the past decade....

Pubg Is Adding An 8 On 8 Team Deathmatch Mode

PUBG Coprp have attempted a team deathmatch mode before but it didn’t stick back in 2018. TDM is back, for real this time, in the form of two teams of 8 shooting it out on small slices of PUBG’s existing maps. The new TDM mode will be added to the PUBG Arcade section of the menu. You can bring a full squad of 8 if you’ve got one or just be matched with other players randomly as usual....

Rainbow Six Extraction S Latest Trailer Shows More Gadgets And Operators

There was a new trailer showing the gadgets and operators in action during last night’s PlayStation event, and you’ll find it below. When Call Of Duty added zombies, it felt an alternate universe rather than a narrative progression. That’s the way of cowards, says Tom Clancy. Extraction’s trailer makes clear that this isn’t some alt-timeline - it’s just, no, Team Rainbow used to fight terrorism and stuff, and next they’re fighting mutating aliens....

Raven Software Qa Workers Are Unionising

In a letter to Activision Blizzard leadership, the workers say that following the layoffs which started on the 3rd of December, “it has become apparent that the current working conditions have become untenable”. They complain about crunch, broken trust, poor pay relative to others, an expectation to relocate for new positions, and “the continued cultural and ethical conflicts currently circulating the company as a whole.” Following weeks of strikes by many, now Raven QA are planning to unionise....

Razer Blackshark V2 Review

For starters, its soft memory foam ear cushions, oval ear cups and steel frame are immensely comfortable to wear for long periods of time, which hasn’t always been the case with other Razer headsets I’ve tested in the past. As a notorious headpinch sufferer, finding a headset I can wear for more than 30 minutes at a time without feeling like I need to rip it off and take a break is a pretty rare occurrence these days, but the Blackshark V2 happily falls into that small and select number of headsets I can wear for hours on end....

Retro Rpg Eastward Announces Its Release Date At Last

A deadly toxic presence has spread across the land, destroying and devouring everything in its path,” say the developers. “Those who could escape the miasma flocked to underground villages to start a new life. But for a hardworking miner and a mysterious young girl, the hope of a thriving outside world beckons.” That’ll be John and Sam down here in the trailer....

Riders Republic Will Offer A Free Trial Week Before Launch

Four hours is about as much as I play of most Ubisoft games, too, so this might suit me perfectly. The trial week includes access to all of the game’s career and multiplayer modes, although some of the latter will be modified slightly. Mass races, for example, will be capped at 32 players “for a better equity” between players on different platforms, since crossplay will be enabled. During the trial week, players will be able to participate in the ‘Mad Challenge’....
